My business is insurance and I specialize in insurance for women. It is because of my experience through marriage, divorce and single motherhood that I have chosen to help women understand this “must have – don’t want to deal with” area which can look and feel so unfriendly, so complicated, so scary, and boring. It is really none of these things; it just seems that way sometimes.

I began my insurance career with the intention of helping my husband with his work. I liked it. I understood it and I pursued it further. At about the time of my divorce I had successfully attained my licenses in property & casualty insurance, life insurance, and health insurance as well as other licenses in the financial field. I have worked for law firms, financial institutions and insurance companies. I have taught workshops such as the popular “Smart Women Finish Rich” and “Taking Control – Financial Management for Women”, at the local college. Both of these presentations deal with insurance and finance as they relate to women’s needs & wants. I have also been endorsed by the South Montgomery/Woodlands Chamber of Commerce, our local Chamber, to teach the same workshops to their members. Recently, I earned the advanced insurance designation of CBC [Chartered Benefits Consultant]. This designation identifies the holder as an expert in Health Savings Accounts, Health Reimbursement Arrangements and other "consumer-driven health insurance" products and programs. It is a professional designation designed for insurance agents and brokers who are serious about maintaining the highest degree of professionalism in assisting their clients in acquiring and understanding these revolutionary health related programs.
